Our story

About Rhinestone

Rhinestone Dance Co. is a welcoming country dance community in Greenville, South Carolina — a place to learn Country Swing and Line Dancing, make friends, and have fun. Come find your people.

How it started

An Invitation, Then a Choice

“Rhinestone started with an invitation. I was asked to teach Country Swing at a weekly dance night — and later, to take the night over. I could have kept it exactly as it was. Instead, I built something of my own: welcoming, polished, and full of personality.

The name wasn’t an accident. A rhinestone stands for confidence, joy, and sparkle — the feeling I want this floor to give you. What began as a weekly lesson has grown into a community for learning, growth, and connection, on and off the dance floor.

At its heart, this is the dance community I wished existed when I was starting out. Dance gave me confidence, lifelong friendships, and a place to belong. Rhinestone is my way of passing that on.”

Meet Kière Joi

Kière has spent over fifteen years dancing and the last five of them teaching. Her roots are in ballet, jazz, and tap; today she teaches both partner dance and line dance, and competes actively in West Coast Swing, Ballroom, and Country Swing. She’s also been featured as a dancer in a Hallmark film and in Netflix’s The Hunting Wives.

Her teaching centers accessibility, musicality, creative flow, and genuine connection. She enjoys both leading and following — and if you ask her favorite dance to just dance, be ready to hear about Zouk.

Her favorite part of teaching is a specific moment: watching someone arrive nervous and leave smiling, confident, and already excited to come back.
